Hermann, Makov & Co.
is a product of the successful merger between the well-established and highly reputed law offices of
Herman, Peled, Winder, Ben-Israel, Manor & Co. and U. Makov & Co.
The merger of the two firms in February 2000
has considerably increased the firm's ability to provide high level service to its clients in various fields of practice. The merged firm is now able more than ever to practice and provide professional legal services in a wide variety of legal areas.
The firm of Hermann, Peled, Winder, Ben-Israel, Manor & Co
was founded by Dr. David Hermann in 1949. The firm started to specialize in aviation law and Dr. Herman lectured for a number of years on aviation law in the universities of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv. Since 1949 the firm developed, new partners were admitted and prior to the merger it had grown into a legal staff of 14 lawyers with legal practice in almost all fields of civil and commercial law, especially information technology, computers and Hi-tech, labor laws and pension, administrative and procurement law and litigation.
The firm of U. Makov & Co.
was founded by the late Abraham Makov after he finished his law studies in Beirut, Lebanon, prior to the establishment of the State of Israel. The firm was among the few firms who at the time carried on business in Jaffa. When the son, the late Uri Makov joined the firm, the firm moved to Tel-Aviv, specialized in real estate and became one of the most specialized firms of real estate and real estate taxation. The late Uri Makov took an active part in the formulation of the laws relating to real estate in Israel.
Roy Makov, the third Makov generation joined the firm in 1985.
